Three Why Democracy? Films to screen at TIFF

The Toronto International Film Festival in September promises to be a Why Democracy? event. Showcasing "twenty of the world's most thought-provoking and explosive documentaries", three of the twenty documentaries announced as part of the Reel to Real lineup are Why Democracy? films - PLEASE VOTE FOR ME, DINNER WITH THE PRESIDENT and IRON LADIES OF LIBERIA.

International Documentary Programmer at the festival, Thom Powers, said "This incredible output of non-fiction works from so many top filmmakers indicates there is no turning back the rise of documentaries,...These films introduce us to unforgettable characters, take us to unimaginable places and force us to confront moral dilemmas that will generate debate and conversation for many months to come."

The 32nd Toronto International Film Festival takes place from September 6th to 15th in Toronto, Canada.
