Student Jury awards Iron Ladies at One World Festival

Iron Ladies of Liberia has won the Best Film in the One World for Schools Category at the 10th edition of the ONE WORLD Human Rights International Documentary Film Festival in Prague, Czech Republic.

"Student Jury has decided to award the prize to the picture Iron Ladies of Liberia because it is an example of a concrete country with current issues that trouble the whole Africa. The movie shows some possible solutions out of the situation, and we believe that this movie will make young people think more about current issues and devising solutions. We have specially awarded this film because of the crucial female role, and overall positive message of the film.”

Vaclav Havel (pictured on the right), a former Czech Republic president, attended the ceremony and is a keen supporter of the festival.
