Please Vote For Me has won at the 2008 Grierson Awards in London. The documentary was awarded the Jonathan Gili Award for Most Entertaining Documentary.

This award is sponsored by the London Film Academy in the name of the late Jonathan Gili, the celebrated filmmaker and recipient of the Grierson Trustees’ Award in 2004. The award honours a single documentary or an episode from a strand or series which brings style, elegance, wit or irony to its subject, however weighty. Entries can be on any subject and in any format, including factual and reality based programmes.
